Painless payment onboarding

Intuit’s desktop-based QuickBooks product is an industry standard tool for many large and small businesses. A relatively new “Payments” feature allows businesses to accept payments directly through the platform, generating valuable fee-processing or monthly subscription revenue. But the existing onboarding process for users to sign up for the feature needed an overhaul to improve the user experience and the resulting conversion metrics.

The Challenge

Design a 4-step onboarding flow including consideration for micro-interactions, edge cases, and other scenarios involving several different user cases.

My Role

As UX/Visual Designer, I collaborated with the UX Lead to review and discuss wireframe solutions for the redesigned onboarding flow. After initial review and testing of proposed UX solutions, I applied visual design using brand style guidelines.
